PackScore

What is Packscore?

Packscore is a free, quick and simple sustainable design tool. The primary intended users are plastics packaging designers. It enables designers to assess different iterations of a design, inform choices and be a pre-curser to more detailed (and complex) systems prior to full assessment of a final design.

It also enables anyone in the supply chain who wants to understand more about the recyclability of a piece of packaging or compare one pack to another and can therefore be used by sales, marketing, technical, buyers, and management as well as designers.

What's New in Packscore 2.0?

Packscore 2.0 has an inbuilt 'critical path', which is shown through a simple traffic light system, that enables users to understand better each individual decision will effect the overall sustainability of the finished packaging.

It has been published by the British Plastics Federation following consultation with its membership and is supported by RECOUP who produce the world renowned Recyclability by Design guide
